01 / RESEARCH

Research and current work

Machine learning is my primary direction, supported by statistical modeling and mathematical research.

2026–present
Senior capstone

NEPSE Stock Forecasting

Machine learning · Time series · Financial data

Building a reproducible Python and Jupyter pipeline for Nepal Stock Exchange data. The work begins with transparent regression and classification baselines before comparing time-series and LSTM approaches with evaluation designed for sequential data.

Spring 2025
Completed research

Emergency Department Cost Prediction

Healthcare ML · HCUP NEDS 2016 · Mentor: Natalie Cartwright

Developed and evaluated an XGBoost workflow using nearly ten million emergency-department records, including chunked processing, feature encoding, held-out evaluation, and feature-importance interpretation.

02
2025–2026
Applied work

Soil Nutrient Modeling

Green Mountain Girls Farm

Supported soil testing and exploratory machine-learning analysis of farm macronutrients while also assisting with website and general technology needs.

02 / EXPERIENCE

Professional experience

Leadership, technical support, and operations across university and community settings.

Conference Services Team Leader

Norwich University · Summer 2026

  • Coordinated housing, keys, registration, facilities, athletics, custodial coverage, and dining logistics.
  • Led daily operations for multiple summer programs and camps.

Green Mountain Girls Farm

Research & technology support · 2025–2026

  • Contributed to soil analysis and exploratory modeling.
  • Provided website and general IT support.
03 / TEACHING

Teaching and mentoring

Helping students build mathematical intuition and independent problem-solving habits.

Norwich University
CASA

Peer and Class Tutor

Calculus I · Calculus II · Elementary Statistics

Tutored more than 20 students through one-on-one and small-group sessions. Explained limits, derivatives, integrals, probability, hypothesis testing, and statistical interpretation while adapting explanations to different preparation levels.

01
Graduate-school direction

Why teaching matters

Tutoring strengthened my mathematical communication and showed me how careful questions reveal where understanding breaks down. I hope to continue combining research and teaching in graduate school.
